I served as Assistant Dean of Notre Dame Law School for several years, concluding with the 2019-20 academic year. The spring semester involved many challenges including distance learning due to COVID-19. In an effort to provide students, staff, and faculty with a continuing sense of community I began writing “Story Time” emails. My hope was that the stories would provide a fun and interesting diversion during a very stressful time.
I have collected those stories here and will add to them from time to time. I have included a list of the sources on which I relied for each story and have done my best to ensure that the stories are true as well as entertaining. I welcome your feedback, observations, and suggestions for improvement.

A Frolic and Detour
